I think I want an XP-1. But I use wide lenses, and the widest for the XP-1 seems to be 18mm, which I guess is equivalent to 27mm. For me, that's only a start. Until there is at least a 24mm equivalent, I won't be ready for an XP-1. And I would be happier with an 18 or 20mm eq.
I believe I could use my 15mm CV as a 22.5mm equivalent, but of course I would be giving up AF. Not the end of the world, I guess.
So. Heard any good rumors lately?

Funny, I looked at the B&H website one minute before posting, and didn't see the 14. Thanks!

Then there is 10-24 f/4 zoom that will be released in March or April.
And Fuji announced an upcoming "high-speed wide angle" that has left people guessing it will be a 16/1.4 ...

Not a cheap lens but the reviews are all very positive.

16-50 zoom…slow but sharp and good for outdoor shooting…and very cheap

the 14 is fantastic. great lens.
there is a fixed thread here in the xpro1 forum with photos taken with this lens, in fact.

Samyang/Rokinon has an 8mm f/2.8 fisheye and I believe a 16mm f/2 wide angle in X mount too. They're supposed to be making the 14mm f/2.8 version for X mount soon. Something to consider if you want to shoot wide on the cheap.
They're manual focus of course... but at those focal lengths, stop down a little and everything is in focus!

I agree completely.
This lens on my X-Pro 1 outperforms the Nikkor 16-35/4 G zoom (set to 20 mm) on a D700. Of course the D700 has only 12 MP and an AA filter. But the advantage in size and weight while enjoying a modest improvement in IQ is a win-win for me.

Really? I'd like to get a round Touit! But first, I need an X-Pro1 . . .

Rokinon/Samyang is also coming out with a 10/2.8, but at 610 grams looks like it's a little on the heavy side.
