i tried shooting infrared films, but, i can't get it going... so it was really good that i kept my old IR modified D70s with me. many a Digital cam has come and gone for me, only this old friend (D70s) remained. I still would want to learn about processing film infrareds, so maybe some of you with experience can share some tips and of course, photos here. Cheers!

I still have a couple of rolls of high speed IR Kodak and some Konica and Rollei for nostalgia sake. I shot a lok of Kodak an even the predecessor of High Speed Kodak way back in the 60's. Overall my favorite was Kodak High Speed but was also the hardest to expose and process.

A year ago I bought a Nikon D3100 and sent it to Kolari Vision for conversion with an 850 nm filter (87c). I couldn't be more pleased.

I'll try to post a good sample in the next few days. Or you can go to my gallery on RFF and see some B&W tattoo art with the D3100.

lovely, surreal shots Jon... how i wish i'd have these kind of places where am staying!

Thanks! There are some nice places for photography here in South Carolina, but I would still rather live in New Mexico, or Utah! I just love that area of the country.....

I really prefer it to my film days using SFX. I could never hand hold.

Dave..

@Lucian010- that last shot is great.
I got some Aerochrome a while back, and am awaiting some greenery in wintery England.

ETA- I mean in the post where the last shot is the one with the statue, lamp-post and tree.

Such great images. I always liked IR. Good to see a couple of color IR as well. I haven't used IR in probably over 25 years except for a cheap little P&S of maybe mayby 1MP if lucky. I have to hold a filter over the front of it, but it works.

Please keep the photos coming. I am getting the itch for doing some IR again.
