anyone ever try the Power Vision System or Bates system for myopia?

I've just read "The Secret of Perfect Vision" by David DeAngelis, and while I don't have perfect vision (I'm a myope), it turns out I have used some of his methods, and have had significantly less need for negative correction than friends/family.

Curious if anyone has used this or a similar method. Claims to works for hyperopes as well.

That link to Bates ideas aren't what I was referring to.

What I'm referring to in practical modern applications is that for nearsightedness, using exercises, and slightly positive (reading or trainer) positive mag glasses, which exercise the myopic eye, may result in a lower or no prescription for negative glasses.

Check out www.myopia.org for some info. on the idea. It's not necessarily the Bates or Power Vision or other paid system that you have to subscribe to, to get the idea, which I've also discussed with my eye doctors.

The basic gist is that by wearing your prescribed glasses your waking hours, which you may need to for driving, work, etc., may make your eyes continue to get worse, versus wearing training glasses that are slightly positive of your standard prescription, and doing the eye exercises, resulting in long term need for less strong prescriptions, or in some cases, no need for correction.

A camera lens side effect issue may be if those with myopia, especially corrected on the weak side, may see OOF areas of different lens in a different way than those with perfect or perfectly corrected vision.
