Anyone got a good fix for busted Cosina viewfinder foot?
I've got a 21mm finder, and part of the foot, that slides under the rail of the accessory shoe, is broken off.

Maybe try building it up again with epoxy and then shape it down with a file when it is set?

Ask the local Cosina representative for a spare part? These finders still are being made, so parts must exist. They might even give you one for free - the price of the ABS cast shell is negligible, all the value is in the glass.

How much is missing? The foot of mine is partially gone, but I can still use it, so I'm not even bothering with a repair...

$20 spare part from Cosina. I'm waiting for it in the mail.

That's cool, I might reconsider my strategy yet...

My 21mm finder foot is also partially broken but it's not causing me a problem at the moment. At least I know I can order the part if need be. Thanks.

I fixed one for a good friend and fellow RFF member a while back. The replacement foot was machined from brass and should last as long as the Leica it's used on.
It took more work than I expected, so probably wouldn't be economical unless you've got a milling machine or a friend with one who owes you a favor. I believe that CameraQuest can supply replacement plastic feet for CV finders.
