I am curious if anyone has tried this combo and whether you have been able to get accurate and reliable focus wide open? I am sure there would be plenty of VF blockage but thats less of a concern for me.

I've only used an Elmarit on the R4, two stops slower. But I never had a problem with focusing and I always thought that the R4 was a perfect camera for that lens.

I have shot with the 21f1.4 on my R4M. No focus issue whatsoever. It does block part of the finder - but you quickly learn how to do a quick 'sweep" with the lens to check whats hidden behind the hood/barrel in the lower right hand quadrant. Amazing lenses too.

I've the 24 1.4 lux and was wondering about reliable focus wide open. Seems like it would be a close thing, but might just be OK.
