Anyone use Leitax.com for lens adaptations?

Adapting lenses from one mount to another is nothing new. I've seen some custom adaptations done from the 1950s and before.

Leitax seems to offer a line of custom mounts for adapting lenses to different mounts.

Have any RFF'rs had experience with Leitax adaptations?

I have not personally used them, but a friend in Hong Kong and long time Leica R enthusiast has used them a lot.

He has always had good results from them, including sending Leitax the lens and getting it back with the mount changed.

Oh, and I've been racking my brain on either buying an R9 and DMR ($4K) or a Nikon D700 and a bag of Leitax Nikon / Leica R mounts. Issues are that I have Leica R bodies that I want to use, and I have three lenses that aren't compatible with the D700 mirror clearance.

But from all I hear, the D700 is a stunning digital camera for modified Leica R lenses.

And I've just gotten an M9 and waiting for a NOVOFLEX R to M adapter, so my Leica R digital solution might just end up being the M9 and estimate-focusing.

Late to the party, but yes, I have used the Leitax conversion kits. 50 Summicron 3 cam, and 28 Elmarit V2. Conversion is pretty straight forward. I had two stubborn screws I had to drill out for the 50 but not into the threaded hole. The 28 v2 is the finest 28mm for SLR--easier of the two to convert.

I just ordered the parts to convert a 60 macro Elmarit to Nikon. I ordered the chip with it. I eventually want to convert some long Leica lenses but picked this one to start with. David from Leitax informed me that it is one of the hardest to convert...
