i was wondering if the VC2 meter would work with the GW690?
or should i take note of perhaps some compensation difference?
thanks for your help in advance

Should work great, its really a trad exposure meter that fits in an accesory shoe.
You take a reading and transfer the result to the aperture /shutter speed rings.
Make sure you get a black one though...........................

I've been thinking about getting one too - I use a handheld Minolta and it can be a pain sometimes fishing out the meter from a bag or pocket. No, I won't hang the meter from my neck.

I use a gossen digiflash [tiny] on a retractable keycain clipped to my belt or vest, always handy..................actually there is a shoe mount adapter for it so I could stick it on top of the fuji....................

Welll as every GW/GSW I have ever seen is black I think a chrome meter would look a bit silly [v.subjective though!]
As the meter is presumably made to cover about a 50mm on 35mm FOV then should be be roughly the same as 90mm on the GW.
