or even mail order that will ship to the USA? had an RD1 last year at this time, sold it and after using my Nikon D200 and Oly E1 all this year I REALLY miss the Rd1. Was even tempted to buy an M7 but decided to search for an RD1..
Thanks for any tips

They seem to be quite scarce in the USA right now but I beleive people have had good luck ordering from Robert White in the UK.

I was thinking about buying a second body, but I want a valid warrenty. Would Robert White provide a valid US warrenty or would it be considered "grey market"? Is Epson officially selling the R-D1 or R-D1s in the United States?
Epson spent some money on the software upgrade and the R-D1s campaign. One would assume that they made some support commitment at a corporate level or they wouldn't have wasted their money. What gives?

"Used to be....?" Well, perhaps that's true regarding the R-D1. Epson simply is not communicating with me so I don't know what they're up to or why. I don't know how the warranty situation would work with Robert White.

Shoot first, think later
I was told by RW that the Demo R-D1 that are supposed to arrive late June will have the 1 year Epson warranty (UK). I have therefore promptly reserved my R-D1 with RW and am crossing my fingers that they actually arrive.

CameraWorld of Oregon had them quite recently. Price seemed pretty impressive.

Just took a look - 2999.00 - did you see a better price listed on their site Joe?
Also - I believe Calumet in San Francisco has them in stock - at least, last time I checked about two weeks ago they did. Same price.
