If u are on lion or mountain lion os on a Mac u are in luck, but prior os still waiting.
I had to upgrade my main photo processing computer an iMac running snow leopard to lion to get the updated SW support (both aperture and Ameras raw updates for os). The aperture update caused a database files and preview file update.
