I was wondering if people have played around with this combination? I know its fantastic from 50-125 iso, but I was wondering if anybody has pushed this film when the situation demanded it? Just about to start another 100' roll, so I was wondering. Also general development tips would be helpful, I have been spending too much time with Diafine.

My personal opinion is that Rodinal is a great developer giving good sharpness and my favorite delution is 1+50 or more. I can't comment 1+25 or more concentrated developer. IMHO, it's not the best developer for pushing and personally I'd not even try to push something using 1+50 solution. So far I used Rodinal for pulling not pushing.

I'll second Eduard's opinion. Rodinal is great for pulling, but other developers are much more suited to pushing.
Also, Agfa B&W films (in my experience) generally don't push well. They are much more suited to pulling.

Any thoughts or experience about pulling APX 400 to 200 ASA in Rodinal ?

APX 100 works great in Rodinal (1+50 in my fav) in the 50-100 range.
I have pushed it once or twice when the situation demanded it but used D76, FG7, DDX or something else.
APX400 as 200 in Rodinal is awesome!
I bought a bunch labeled Silvertone and after a dissapointing start as 400, downrated it and found a nicer film.
I wish I had some left to test in Rodinal 1+50+VitC which has proved to produce some very interesting results.

A great combination!nrb said:Any thoughts or experience about pulling APX 400 to 200 ASA in Rodinal ?
I like Silvertone (APX) 400 rated a 200 and souped in 1+100 Rodinal for 15 minutes. The only developer that I thought did justice to APX 400 at 400 was Rodinal Special.

Just wondering, what are your exact procedures for developing APX100 in Rodinal at either 1+50 or 1+100 (when I am in a low contrast mood, which is often) when rated at 100 iso? I am not too keen on this darkroom stuff...

Basically the same, just longer development times.
Take a syringe and measure the Rodinal, mix it with the water
and develop for whichever time is needed
