Hi guys,
I know most of you don't really use your RF camera on tripods, but I'm sure some of you do.
Any one using Arca Swiss type ball heads? Any good quick release plates to recommend for Voigtlander Bessa or Leica M cameras? Wimberley and Kirk does seem to have anything that fits nicely. Really Right Stuff recommended the FM2 plate instead.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,

I'm using some Really Right Stuff gear with my dSLR, and am very impressed with the quality. If I needed a plate for the Leica I wouldn't hesitate to buy RRS.

Don't know about the Bessa, I guess a standard small plate would work, in particular if you use a grip.
On my Ms I use the RRS B30.

I only use Really Right Stuff gear on all of my cameras. It's the best. And the prices aren't too bad, either.

At least one of Kirk and RRS have a Leica M6 dedicated plate. I have one, but I'm away at present and can't look at it. The issue with the M6 is the tripod screw hole is at the extreme end of the camera, so the plate goes from the end to well past half way along the body so the camera can sit balanced on the QR head.
There is no rubber between the plate and the body so there is minimal movement.
In the instructions they say to make the fitting to the camera quite tight, EXCEPT for the M6: maybe the threads are not so strong.
None of this stuff is cheap but it is simply the best.

For the Leica M6, M7 but not M8,
The Kirk plate is model PZ-35
The RRS plate is model B30.
