Well-known
A friend of mine was cleaning her attic and sent me a box of camera stuff. She didn't know anything about the equipment so as I opened the box I had deams of seeing a Leica M2 in mint condition. Unfortunately, my expectations were a little high. What I got was an Argus A3.
Apparently the A3 wasn't one of the best known cameras. I've been able to find out that it was made from 1940-42. I has a metal body with a rounded nickle-plated top that probably looked pretty futuristic in those days. An F4 with a 1/150th top speed, anastigmat lens hangs from really nicely chromed tube. Looks like the same lens that was on the Bakelite Model A and looks out of place on this body.
Anyway, there doesn't seem to be much infor on the A3 on the web, nor many examples of that particular model. Anybody have more details on the camera?
