So last night I developed another roll of film... Though I love my digitals, film is so much fun to do! My daughter friend is into photography so I let her help me do the developing (as if I'm some kind of expert, LOL)... she was so excited when the negatives came out of the tank.

Here's some of my results - I think I'm digging the AP 100 more than the 400...

More are here: http://www.dangrabbit.com/photography/film (all but the last six are new and the Arista Premium 100).

Thanks all!

As far as anyone can tell, it's Plus-X, so take that as the starting point.

I've done two rolls of it at EI320 and it certainly doesn't look bad.

very nice Amy! What was your EI for the Arista Premium 100 in diafine ?

Thanks Dave!
I believe I left it on 400 most of the time. I might have tried 200 at the beginning of the roll (which would be the nuclear water towers), but I honestly don't remember.

I've never had much success in getting AP100 or Plus-X to work well in Diafine. Tried rating the film from 100-600 and did not like the results. I found however it does do very well in low contrast situations but when the sun comes out the film fares poorly.

Your mileage will vary and it seems mine turned out quite short. The thread has some happy users with this particular setup.

I think you got great results from AP100 and Diafine along with other people who have tried it. Your images have turned out much better than mine.

It just seems I did not have much luck in getting the combo to work well. I tried a number of rolls but it just didn't quite click for me. I love using diafine for developing but just in my case I failed to get the results I like with AP100. Other films I've tried have worked well.
