Great photos, I used to ride around in one of those Hueys. I've been using some Arista EDU ultra 100 (Foma 100) recently. My images look very much like yours, but I use HC-110h. The film seems to blow out easily when used in sunlight. But I find I really like it on overcast days. The blow out tendency makes my indoor and overcast day shot have a little punch.
I know lousy lens and horrible bokeh, but I love this camera:

Very nice shots, John. That old Pontiac brings back good memories.
I just ordered 50 4X5 sheets each of AristaEDU 100 and 200 to give my new-to-me Cambo 45 SR view camera a good workout. Should keep me busy thru the hot months here in TX.

I'm trying some yellow filter shots and a few orange with my Pentax 6x7 on this roll I'll let you know how it does in summer sun.

Now that is definitely deja vu-ish. I've been wanting to do the same thing, the yellow filter. Please do let me know how you get on with it.

ps to charjohncarter: here's a shot from the same morning as the Hueys. I think it illustrates your point about the film being prone to blowing out in bright light. Of course, this says almost as much about my metering prowess, too.

And development time. But if you get everything right, then you have 4x5 film at half normal cost.

And, THAT, as they say, is the attraction. For me, at least.
