On July I traveled to Stockholm with my family and I took my Olympus OM-1n with me. It wasn't a photographic travel, it was a family travel. But I tried to capture the peace, the slow life, the nature... the swedish way of life.

Here you have some of them:

I love nordic countries... :)

I think you succeeded rather excellently in capturing the essence and feelings that are traditionally associated with Swedish summer. Image number three is my personal favorite, but the series as a whole really is great. Thank you for sharing, and welcome back!

I am impressed with the kids in the water (and jumping in). I grew up on the southern coast of the Baltic - and the water might look inviting - but it is COLD!
The light in the late spring and summer is spectacular - and lots of it - until late evenings. Nice captures too.

Thank you!

Hexiplex: the third is one of my favorite. It was a great moment. :)

Tom, the weather was 17ºC when we arrived (it was 15th of July) but when we came back to the Basque Country (First of August) the water was 22ºC. We had a really hot weather in Stockholm.

There was an "old" woman and she said the water was too warm... ;-)

A real good series. Traveling with family on a "non photographic" journey can make more difficult to get good shots but you managed it very well. Both the landscapes and the people pictures are very good. For my personal taste the leaves in front of the water and the jumping boy (your son?) are the ones I prefer. For sure an excellent camera (I still regret I didn't buy it in that time) and an excellent photographer. Bravo.

Shab, the problem with you is that you have a great eye and are just a very good photographer. See, what you do not seem to understand is, you are supposed to come up with some strokes of luck every once in a while. Not consistently churn out one keeper after another! :)

On a constructive note: I love the overall look, the "lightness", summer feeling etc. To my eyes and my (albeit lowly and uncalibrated) screen, for example the whites in the picture with the elder couple sitting across each other are blowing out.

Greeting! Ljós

Thank you robert and Ljós.

robert, the OM-1 is a great camera for me and the lenses are really fine also.

Ljós, you are right: the whites in the picture with the elder couple are blowing out. I had a problem with the temperature when I was developing some rolls. :-(

Thank you again!
