Hi all,

I don't know if this is the best place to throw this in but I just wrote a piece on my blog about Japanese photography in the late 1960s and 1970s (yes, the Provoke era). It is titled "What photography can do to a world that came? A commentary on 'For A New World To Come: Experiments in Japanese Art and Photography, 1968-1979'". It is a commentary and review of an exhibition currently being shown in New York City (to which I very much encourage you to go if you are in the area).

If you are interested in Japanese photography of that era I think this might be of interest to you. If you are interested in how photography can be a language of poetics and politics through which artists can say something important about the world, I think this might also be interesting to you 🙂

Please check it out. Feedback is of course welcome!
