... abruptly it ended when I got to my car this morning. Someone had broken into it and stole the camera out of my glove box.

I had bought it just weeks ago at a thrift store and put about 6 rolls through it. At the very least I had only spent $10 on the camera and 50¢ for the roll of Kodak Gold inside so it was a cheap lesson learned.

Some of my favorites:

You must feel gutted - I know I would be!
A great camera too and what a great price you paid for it.
Was it insured in any way?
A replacement on ebay will cost a bit more than $10 - nearer $100 i would guess.

Rotten luck!

Well I do take a lot of responsibility for it, I knew it was a bad idea to leave them in there (they missed my Yashica MG-1 in the trunk). I informed the police but there's no need to increase my insurance premiums over a camera I bought for $10, regardless of its worth.

Just with I'd caught them in the act :D

I've got a 35 RC that has been sitting my drawer for awhile. If you want it, it's yours, no charge. PM me if you are interested.

That sucks. I lost an Olympus RF (not an RC) and my Yashica 124 MAT G many years ago, stolen from my car in Korea. I can understand how you felt. I have been keeping a couple of cameras in my car under my front seat, lately. Thanks for the reminder not to do so.

Petty theft in Korea is rare. However, white collar crime is everywhere. Since there's almost no drugs here either, it must have been a Kimchii addict that stole them (joke).

I appreciate the offer, but I'm OK. I have too many cameras anyway but this one was becoming my favorite. Thanks again, but there are probably people who need it more than I do.
