Well, I just saw this thread. I wonder what these things should sell for? Camera$ is usually 3 to 5 times the going ebay price on anything, if not the McKuens (sp) price.
Nice looking camera. I guess most of that time must have looked similar. Mamiya had one from the occupied era that currently sells for anywhere from $80-$110 on ebay. I don''t know what Mckuens says. I don't know if the Mamiya was also 645 or not, but as usualy, this one doesn't seem to have the factory 645 insert. I got lucky to have gotten a Welta with one, and I have an old box camera that had the inserts built in on hinges.

I guess that Takumar is a Tessar design (hence the T-Takumar) ?

In fact, I was wrong in my first post. This camera was made by Takane Optical Co. Only the Takumar lens was made by Asahi Kogaku.
The Mamiya Camera (usually found with a Zuiko lens) has automatic film advance, while the Minesix relies on the good old red window. Also focusing on the Minesix is accomplished by moving the lens back an forth with a helicoid, while it's the film that moves on the Mamiya.

I am constantly amazed when I come across items for sale by the seller camera$. Envious too, I might add. He seems to sell at those prices and I wish I knew his secret. I don't think I have ever seen anything for sale by him that was not way over priced. I just don't know how he manages that. Are there that many people with money and no knowledge of what an item should cost?

Abbazz, I thought at first that you actually *bought* this ...
I have several times tempted to get the Mamiya Six, but can't pull the trigger as I already have the Ansco Super Speedex for 6x6.

Great jumping Jehoshaphat! I won't buy an old 6x6 folder for this kind of money and especially not from this seller...

The Mamiya Six is a great camera, just make sure that the bellows is light tight (the material is very thin) and the film advance works as it should (very expensive repair). Try to find the "Automat" or "Automat 2" version, as these have shutter cocking coupled to the film advance: the Lexus of the folders!
Cheers!
