Well, It is snowing outside, and the postman does dress in red - if I didn´t know any better I would have thought it was Christmas all over again (just without all the hassle)
Look what postman Pat a.k.a. Santa brought me today.
The funny thing is , the seller was selling it as "Broken" because he couldn´t open the back
and as it turns out, there is not much wrong with it.
So now, I guess I´m officially part of the "cult"
Cheers,
Meakin

Thanks guys, can't wait to put of roll of film through it (unfortunalty the weather guy is warning of a snowstorm here at the moment)
It's in amazing condition, it came with a E.R. case that looks like it was left on a window sill in the sun for 20+ years, But I guess the camera just sat snug inside all this time, as there is not a mark on it. When I first got it out of the box, the shutter was sticking now and then, but "working" it for a while - it now works everytime, at all speeds....even the battery light suddenly decided to start working.
All I have to do now is change the light seals....If you cant tell, I´m pretty pleased with my self
.....not bad for a "broken" camera...

My $10. flea market Canonet was also "broken". The light seals had gummed up so bad you couldn't open the back. Thanks to Rangefinderforum I knew what the problem was and got an excellent camera for next to nothin'
That is a beauty, would fetch ~$200 normally. Treat it well. The Canonet is capable of some great pictures.
If you need to clean the viewfinder, I posted instructions on it in my gallery. It is ~1hr job at worst.

Wow. Very pretty camera! Good for you. If old light seal goop is keeping that door stuck, I can send you what you need to fix it for less than $7 US, shipping included. Just let me know. I hope you enjoy it.

OOooooh.. black canonet! very nice.
Has anyone taken the plates off a regular silver canonet and repainted them before? perhaps there's a market for yellow canonets
