I stumbled across a bit of information earlier today which I'd like to check out and verify.

I bought my first Konica AutoS-2 back in the mid-60's when they were being sold in this country (USA). I still have the instruction manual from that camera. Since then, to be sure I have a spare always at hand, I've bought another pair over the years.

It was not until today (during a Google session) that I learned Konica had produced an "auto-up" close-up attachment for both the S-2, the S-3 and the C35 models. I looked in my 1965-era manual and no mention is made there of the "auto-up".

These attachments screwed into the filter threads and enabled you to take close-ups using the viewfinder's parallax correction bright-lines, I understand.

Can anyone flesh-out my description, has anyone ever used one, and does anyone have one you'd like to sell?

I haven't used an auto-up for Konica, but they seem to have been fairly common accessories in the pre-SLR era. Needs two pieces -- the close-up lens and another lens that goes over the viewfinder/rangefinder to correct the RF coupling.

Thanks for the comment, Vince. Yes, I understand that's how they work: in a sense, like the "eyes" on the dual range Summicron. I wonder if anyone has any experience using the Konica version.
