Ages ago (I can't even find the original post) the tiny tab that anchors the auxialliary focusing ring on my Nikon S mount version of the CV 25 f4 snapped off.
I asked if anyone including Mr.Gandy had any spares, but alas the answer was no.
I re-glued it twice with super-glue, but the attachment point's surface area was so small that it just wouldn't stay together.
The other day it broke again, and after studying the problem I decided the only way to make this work was to get rid of the screw lock and so I cut it off, cut the circular ring into two halves and attach each to the lens with high-strength double sided tape.
Works like a champ.
Boy, sometimes I really have to go the extra mile to be a Nikon rangefinder user.
