A mirroless Leica camera (no mention of sensor size) that takes R lenses and allows manual focus through an EVF.
Why not you should use an R-adopter with countless other mirrorless cameras at a fraction of the cost is of course not the issue, this is Leica so its an emotional product, not a rational one.

"Not within the next twelve months" - and the passing mention of Panasonic might mean another licensed device.
What is more interesting are the statements regarding live view and focus assist in the M10 - the beginning of the end of rangefinders on the M series...

Guess you missed this part of the interview:
"We will keep the rangefinder. I can’t imagine that those companies will restart doing optical rangefinders to compete with Leica. It could be something to keep our current customers happy also giving somebody a much different experience by using a camera instead of being forced to look through an electronic viewfinder."

The focus assist will work in the LIVE VIEW mode in the back LCD...
You can't have live view in the rangefinder OVF - unless of course you're Fuji.

According to what I've read on most Leica rumor sites, it will have an OVF. My guess is that they will use focus confirmation in the OVF for Leica R lenses. Just my guess though.

How many of these "countless other mirrorless cameras at a fraction of the cost" are full frame? I genuinely don't now, which is why I am asking.
