What`s up with my photoes ?
Dear users,
recently I shot some pics with my Zenit EM. It`s history is a little strange - it was lying about 20 years in a very wet place ... It took 2 weeks for restoring it.
Everything works fine, but : 3 of 72 photos have those strange lightleaks ! only 3 but now the creepiest thing:
My other russian cam (zenit 3m) has the same sort of problems - and a professional repairman told me , all things are in good working condition.
What is it ? A bad shutter problem ? But the shutter works fine ! I`ve tested it this morning in my university!
The other photos are in BEST quality I have ever seen! (compared with my old sony digicam -6MP Zeis objective)
Look at tis photo:

OK - this is something I couldn`t realize
Maybe there are other camerás having the same problem ? Maybe its still a lightleak ?

It *is* a light leak, as a result of the shutter curtain not shutting properly at the end of the "travel distance". You need to get it fixed. Or maybe take a chance: give the camera a few hours of shutter "gymnastics" - fire the camera a few hundred times without film, at different speeds. Then load it and do another test roll.
Good luck /Richard

Okay - now this is what I`ve done :
I gave it the gymnastics 4 hours long and tested everything with a BPW 42 phototransistor. now look at this photo - seems quiet OK - am I right ?

Much better. If all the shots on that film are like this, your camera is OK-ish. Seems it just needed a workout
