Hi guys
Am interested to hear if any other members have had a bad transaction with these guys?
I have been building up a collection of wartime zeiss lenses in leica screw fit,i have the 50mm f1.5/85mm f2/135mm f4,I was browsing ebay and saw that photo-arsenal had the rare 35mm f2.8 biogon for $904.00 buy it now,i did an offer of $700.00 which was refused and then of $800 which was accepted on 11th may,both offers were responded to very quickly,i then paid by paypal the next day 12th may $840 incl delivery from japan.
I then waited approx 3 weeks and nothing arrived,so i sent a email through ebay to the dealer enquiring on the progress/tracking number etc,i heard nothing back,i left it another week hoping said item would arrive or they would respond but nothing.
On their ebay page below their picture of the item they are selling they have pictures of their shop manager and the owner saying:"please feel free to email us" and "if you have any problems email our owner" with his email address also.
I then sent a email to the email address on the ebay page enquiring about not recieving the lens,again no reply.
I then sent an email to the owners address and explained the situation,he replied and said that the manager was away on a buying trip in europe but was due back in 2 days,he said he would talk to him as soon as he returns and email me immediatley,guess what? NO reply came.
I then left it a few more days and emailed the owner again saying i didnt recieve his imediate reply he promised and that if they wont reply to me i can only proceed through the ebay complaints case system and get my money back that way,this didnt seem to bother them either as still i didnt get any reply:bang:.
I opened a dispute case through ebay on june 9th and in the options section put that i still wanted the lens rather than my money back,but have just recieved a message that the money has been refunded into my account.
Im pretty angry as the lens i bought is rare and i will be lucky to find another one,also i never got any sort of explanation or reply from the seller to say what has happened to the lens,be it that it never existed in the first place,they changed their mind or whatever,they just didnt seem to care.

Same exact thing happened to me. I also got a good deal so I thought. They refunded my money a month later and when I complained, Boris the owner/manager replied "so what I refunded your money". I ended up giving them a negative but they retaliated with a negative for me and lied about me being a non paying bidder.
They can't play that game anymore, as they can't leave negs for buyers under the current system.

Years ago I also had some trouble with the owner of this shop. Since I could not afford a really good lawyer I lost about 700 Euro in my special case and came to the conclusion to avoid business with these unfriendly and rude people at all costs. If I happen to stumble over an offer of SH Photo or Photo-Arsenal on Ebay I just ignore it.
But beware, this is my very own bad experience and maybe there are people out there who did not have any kind of trouble and find some friendly words here.

ahhhh,so im not the only one,i suspected that if comunication from them was that bad,there must be other guys who have had bad experiences witht them.
