ladies and gentlemen, I´m new owner of a Mamiya 7 and want it to become my third eye...
I was wondering how the experienced among you keep it and transprt it. All those backpacks and other bags are either too big or too small.
Any recommendation?

I found a stretchy one on Ebay that gives me a modicum of protection when travelling.

I pretty sure it was this one. Depends if you like this kind of design I have a couple of others for my SLR's so I guess I'm a fan

I use a Domke F-10 when I just have the body and one lens.

I use either a slingshot aw 200 or a Domke F2. The latter has better access but less good when moving fast and need to do more agile things. F2 has space for body plus one lens plus three extra lenses, tonnes of film, accessories etc. very practical and is my choice for Afghanistan, but the slingshot is better for wherever you will do a lot of legwork with shots here and there. Access is tno as good as the F2 so I use the F2 in Afghanistan as I drive from location to location and bimble about when there plucking the kit I need to shoot a given area, rather like a grazing cow.

The Domke F3X nicely carries my Mamiya 7 with any lens up to the 80mm and hood mounted, plus 2 extra lenses. Film and light meter goes in the end pockets.
