Just wanted to say a public 'Thank you' to Phile/felipe for getting that Domke-copy bag deal organised - the two I ordered arrived today and are really nice!

Roman

PS: And the other news: I just won a Voigtländer Kontur finder for 35mm lenses for a mere 9.90 Euros (that's even cheaper than Russian 35mm finders, and I hope the Kontur is more useable...)

Yeah ! Good news ! How do you find the bags Roman ? Also, which ones did you order ? Which color ?

The Kontur finder should be a very nice one, and you got a fantastic price. It should be reversible and come with some masks as well for other focal lenghts.

And yes, a big THANKS to our hero Felipe :D

Anyway, a big THANK YOU goes to Phil!

Yep, HUGE Thanks from here as well (I sent you an email earlier to) - mine is black and I am VERY happy with it.

Thanks again

Cheers,

Meakin

I know what bags you're talking about, but I never saw anything about a large order. Did you get a discount on the very expensive shipping or something like that? I would love to see some photos of the bags everyone bought, including what you keep in them, etc. From what I've seen, they look like pretty nice bags!

I looked quickly at making a bulk order bringing a bunch of these bags over to North America, but the savings wasn't that great. In fact, with the secondary shipping to distribute them it was really only a couple $ of savings.

There is an option to have the bags imported by ocean cargo, which would be cheaper, but with a longer waiting time.

I have only heard good things about these bags, so I am sure that at some time one will be in my future.

Thanks guys, you are most welcome!
Hope Dennis and Oscars will arrive soon!

I'm going to snap a few pics of it tmrw. and post a small review for the other bagaddicts then :)

We managed to order 6 bags, so shipping to my place was something like 2.30 for each one and then I sent the bags to the guys individually, stripped from the original packaging and papers with the cheapest shipping method possible...

If you american/canadian guys and gals could get some folks together I'd do the same for you, albeit even uninsured shipping over the great pond is already 12.90 Euros. (I could even ship them all in one large package but US customs would possibly be all over it)

Let me know if I can help,

good night,
Phil

How did you manage to get them shipped so cheaply? Last time I checked, shipping was almost $30/bag from their eBay store.

Oscar,

they look great - I ordered two (one for me, one for a friend) of the Domke 803 type bags - Felipe sent one in tan, and one in brown - they look both equally nice, so I'll have my friend pick the color he likes better...
The Kontur was adevertised for 35mm lenses, I did not see anything about additional masks in the add - but 35mm is what I needed, anyway - for using the J-12 on my Russian RFs, without having to carry the huge universal finder all the time.

I happen to know a guy who's able to import them, so I only pay for local shipping within Germany... :)

Wah! I missed that!

Can I sign in for the next batch of bags?

Sure! Guess I should have notified you anyways as you were looking for domke bags then, sorry for that! :(
Just send me an email with the model # and prefered color and if we find one more fella I'll send out another order.

(So far it would be Nick, Volker, and possibly Jeroen)

// UPDATE:

Prices are still the same (39.90 Euros), Shipping depends on how many folks we can talk into buying one :D

//UPDATE

cheers,
Phil

Yes the shipping price is rididulous, but the total cost of one of these bags from Shanghai is about $30 less than the total cost of the Domke equivalent from B&H or Adorama. And to be honest, they are better made than the Domkes and will last longer. If I needed a bag of a different size I wouldn't hesitate in ordering another from this company.

Mine's here, too!

Mine's here, too!

My bag arrived this morning!
NIIIICE :D

Will post some photos later...

Congrats Denis !!! :)

Tick tack tick tack, where's the Spanish one... :p I want to play with mine too :D

Oscar, I fear the spanish PO guys fell asleep again:D
I once sent a camera via insured land mail to a buyer in Malaga and it took almost a full two weeks.

Since then I always have this image of a PO guy riding day and night on fastest pace with a donkey, package under his arm and constantly yelling "ANDELE ANDELE! - express delivery!" ;)

Hope it get's to you soon, those packmules are lazy asses!

cheers,
Phil

Well, slow but it finally arrived yesterday morning ! :D At least they delivered it at my door, no need to walk to the post office this time.

The bag is just a beauty !! And IMO very well made as well, gives the impression of those items that can get old with you but just keep going, sort of an ancient Land Rover or Land Cruiser :D

Just another thank you to Phil from here !!!
