Hi,

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, however there have been a few questions here on the Balda Juwella cameras so I am hoping that someone here may be able to help.

I have just inherited my Grandfathers Balda Juwella, and I would like to restore it to full working order. Firstly can anyone accurately date this version - from what I have found elsewhere it is probably 1938/1939?

Photos are at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/73506385@N05/

(Sorry but I can't upload/embed any here)

Secondly I don't think the film counter window (sorry -I don't know if there is a correct technical term) on the back is original - it looks a bit hacked together and I have not seen a cover like this on any other Juwella. The other backs I have seen are like the attached photos (and there is also a third which has a pivoting round cover). Can anyone tell me if this cover on my camera is indeed a fix-job, and what the original film exposure counter cover for this version of the Juwella should be?

Thanks very much for your help

Kind Regards

Poppy
