Hello,
Not posted on here for long time, but just wondered if someone might be able to recommend an insert to fit my wax Barbour Tarras bag?
I've been using it for years without one, usually just a towel or a shirt rolled in the bottom
but it's time to upgrade
I did look at the Tenba Pro Digital 2 Photo Insert which looks a good fit, but can't find one within the UK, and the Billingham dividers are too dear I feel. The Barbour is much the same size as a small Hadley I believe.
Anyway sorry to waffle on, any help would be much appreciated.
All the best,
Benjamin

I use the Billingham Hadley inserts in all my fishing style bags, which are similar to the Tarras.
There is an insert by Ortlieb (camera insert for their handlebag cycle bag) which can be bought in the UK.

For a very reasonable price, etsy seller martilena will make a custom insert for your bag. I have two of them...highly recommended. She has a standalone website too...
here is a link to a thread I posted earlier with some pics of one of my setups. http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112436

Thanks for the replies chaps... the Billingham insert is too expensive for what is in essence an uprgrade to a rolled towel
might well just make one out of an old roll mat

I have a filson field bag which is similar in size and design.
You can use a tamrac a116 insert which fits like a glove.

Benjamin, take a look at the Puleme inserts on ebay. I have the 7518 in my Lowepro Exchange messenger but have used it in a number of other bags. Bought mine from Cameramate2010 and find it a nicely made product. There's one there now for only £11.

In addition to the Puleme, you should also take a look at the Ciesta inserts on eBay. They come in at least two different sizes (medium and large).

I just got a Ciesta insert from a Korean seller on Ebay. I bought this insert to use inside a Pacsafe Metrosafe 200 shoulder bag. The Pacsafe bag has theft resistant features and looks more like a messenger bag than a camera bag. I've used the Metrosafe 200 to carry an M8 or M9, my phone, etc. but I wanted a padded insert that I could just drop a camera into. The Ciesta insert is perfect for an M9 and X2 (or a second lens) together! I roll back the drawstring top and carry the insert with the top open inside the zippered Metrosafe.

I too use an eBay insert, which gets moved between my Overboard rucksack and a no-name messenger bag, as required. I got the folding one that comes with a lid and two dividers.
I can push a 5D with 90mm plus a G2 with a long zoom, plus a 14mm Samyang into it. (I wrap the 50mm in some neoprene and it takes its chances with whatever other lens is in the middle compartment). Alternatively, my M3, 3 lenses and my Bessa L with the 15mm just drop in and wallow in their spacious quarters.
I paid about £16 (say $25) for it and it's been on several trips without incident.
