Does the short base length of R3A ever impose a problem for most of you?

If I use 50mm at f1.5 very almost all the time, will I be bothered by focusing inaccuracies?

I understand that it's about 75% the base length of a Leica M, but does the additional 25% make that much difference?

I am currently using R2 (not R2A) with even shorter baselength, and do misfocus quite often almost to the point of ruining my experience. Will I find significant improvement with R3A? Yet, will I still wish for even more baselength?

Will my situation worsen if I start using 80+mm?

What do you find different with your Zeiss Ikon? Do you just focus more accurately, or do you also focus much faster as well?

Most of my problems arise from focusing in the dark.
