Battery needle gone astray

When I inserted a freshly charged battery into the camera today, the needle indicated that the battery was only half full. I tried with another battery and it responded the same way. Recalibrating the needle didn't help either because range of calibration was just too little. Has any people had similar experience? And is there any way to correct it short of sending it back to Epson? Thanks.

I had exactly that problem with my first body. I exchanged the body for different reason. never managed to calibrate it, for the same reason you describe.

Thanks for your input. I sent the camera in this afternoon as I only have one month worth of warranty left.
