Well, to a professional portrait painter photography was the end of his profession, I agree; but not to painting.

I am relaxed about these trends because I am an amateur. I am just too stupid for painting.

Using a camera array to see "through" objects is much more worrying. Although obviously it only works in certain circumstances.

Same basic concept as the Lytro camera, plenoptic imaging which retains the vector information not just the 2D spatial information.
