A few days ago I was stopped by an aquaintance. Did I know I was pictured on Google Street View - that's an add on to Google Maps? Well, I didn't know and neither of us had seen the Google camera van going past. So I investigated and found myself and the two dogs pictured in the middle of the village. My face is 'fuzzed' out but not the dogs. Know my dogs and know me!
I live in a remotish lane but 'dang' me I get caught again this morning, with the two dogs, and for a second time as the van comes back down the lane. But my house must also be pictured - what a good job I painted the garden wall last week and mowed the outside grass this morning. But what a pity I had'nt brushed the little dog to make him look smarter!.
So now I am pictured on Street View in three places. I haven't had any choice about it and neither have the dogs!
Am I happy about it? Not particularly.
Have you been caught? Do you know? Have you looked?
What is your reaction?

No difference to seeing your face in a sporting crowd or in public. Google did not target you. Google does not tag your face (nor your dogs'). Google does not benefit from having your face on its site and earning revenue because of that. Whoop-ty-doo.

I know someone who is an undercover narcotics agent. He got "caught" in front of his house, also, and was very concerned. He petitioned Google but last I heard had been unable to to get it removed.
