So, I'm heading to Berlin next week. I'm pretty excited since it's a city with a lot of history, good beer and cheap falafel. I need some pointers though, on where to buy / peruse various photographic items. I'll arrive wednesday evening and depart the following monday evening. So, a fairly decent ammount of time to enjoy. Without further ado I'll kick off a little list!
-Good Fujifilm stockist whose likely to have the extra grip for the X-Pro 1 in stock.
-A shop for film/chemicals. While I have money I'd love to stock up on some TRI-X.
-Places where I'm likely to find (or be able to sell my IIIf and Summitar - impossible task in Stockholm) a beater M-mount camera for a decent price. Or just general little camera shops that might sate as yet undiscovered 35mm camera needs.
So, that takes care of the day I'll be able to waste on shopping... I welcome general tips on what to see and what to do. Even what to eat and drink. Though probably I'll stick to the previously mentioned falafel. Thank you beforehand for your insights!

Be sure to have a meal at Hashi's Japan food restaurant. It's close by (500mtrs) and very good.

My M5s need red dots!
You can also try currywurst (a popular Berlin food) in between falafels.
Be aware that, in my experience, Germany isn't the place to find low-priced Leicas. I haven't really searched much, but my accidental encounters with stores have left me a bit taken aback when I see what these people ask for apparently ordinary items. I saw a shop in Cologne that had nearly everything a Leica user would like to at least see, but at outrageous prices.
Take care and don't forget to photograph the Brandemburg gate.

There's a one-hour service off the far end of the Alexanderplatz, under the subway tracks IIRC. Off the side of the Alexa shopping mall. They developed my BW400CN at EUR 3,50 a piece or thereabouts. They also did true B&W and even 4x5" film, although that last one was not done in an hour
YMMV though, I was there in May 2013. Time I get out there again.

Hi,
Fotoimpex is the place to go for chemicals and film as well as for some other nice things.
Here are some shops that I remember carrying used film gear:
* Foto Schilling, Kantstraße 87, got a beater M2 there
* ASA90, Fuldastraße 55, not so much Leica centered if I recall correctly, but good for all sorts of film gear
* Foto Braune, Karl-Marx-Straße 7, something like a classic
* Foto Leistenschneider, Grolmanstraße 36, mostly modern digital cameras, but also selected used film gear
* Foto Mayer, Welserstraße 1, well known, have seen some film cameras there
* Fotofachgeschäft Objektiv, Zossener Straße 37, they sometimes carry Leitz stuff
...
Berlin is full with camera shops. Hard to say which one is best for selling the Summitar and beater M.
As for food: Berlin is full with good food also.
Maybe you want to drop a line in the Berlin thread, one of us may show up for a meetup.
Enjoy your stay!

Thank you for this tip, I had a wonderful experience there. I've had tastier tempura, but the meal and the restaurant as a whole gets very high marks from me - fried tofu stuffed with rice and ginger - yes please! Also, as it turned out I was just across the street from Fotoimpex, stocked up on some TRI-X and chemicals. Thanks to everyone who chimed in with tips, really - much appreciated.
Otherwise I left the camera I wanted to sell and the idea of the camera I wanted to buy at home, only had one half day to spend in shops anyway, the clubs and the bars swallowed me whole. Kreuzberg's streets - where I spent most of my daylight hours - were also too interesting to make me want to chase cameras. Good marks for Berlin in other words! Here's a (poorly edited) snap taken a block or two away from Fotoimpex, filled up a few rolls of film during the trip, something from those might show up later:
