hello people. i need help for my beloved bessa T. after a recent holiday, my shoe for the finder is loose...probably bumped multiple times with finder intact. i have a bad feeling that the top cover needs to fully be removed before being able to access the screws that tighten the shoe. has anyone had a similar problem and brave enough to DIY? if yes, i'd appreciate some help. at present, i've got small cardboard pieces wedge underneath to minimize the movement of the finder.

Inside the shoe there's a black metal cover plate. This plate can be slid out by lifting it a tiny bit near the front of the shoe (i.e. nearest to the front of the camera). Lifting it a millimeter is sufficient (if you need to lift it more you're doing something wrong). When removed, you get access to the screws that hold the shoe in place.

Thanks to the OP and to Peter for this thread. I had a problem similar to the OP's, and after reading Peter's post above fixed the loose shoe on my T without a hitch.
Is this a great forum, or what?

Well, four years later and I can add my name to the list. Just fixed it. My gratitude to Peter.
