I've been shooting with a Canon P (my first rangefinder yay!) and while I like it, I'm not super happy with the viewfinder. My Canon 50mm f1.4 blocks a noticeable part of the 50mm frame line, and with the hood on almost half the frame line is blocked. I don't really like having all three frame lines visible at the same time so I'm looking at getting a new body to use with the lens. So my question is: which Canon rangefinder is the best for 50mm lenses? I'm strongly considering the L3 since it has the "zoom-able" viewfinder, and I have no issue with the 1/500th shutter speed. I like the idea of magnifying the viewfinder for focusing wide open and having just the 50mm line is what I want. I definitely want the film advance on the top as I don't think I'll be able to get used to the lever on the bottom Is there a better option out there? I really don't plan on getting a more tele lens so only having 35mm and 50mm is totally fine by me.

Any help or recommendations would be great! Thanks!

The best Canon camera for your 50mm f1.4 lens and no Vf blockage is the 7s z

These are not common or cheap to buy but I would settle for a Canon 7 body, plentiful and low priced to buy if you don't mind the nearsightedness of its viewfinder, which was corrected on the 7s z.
