Hi,

Welcome aboard.

Try "Leica the First 70 Years" by Gianni Rogliatti and "My Leica and I" edited by Kurt Peter Karfeld and, of course, the two little books by Hove Foto Books meaning the "Leica Pocket Book" and the "Leica Accessory Guide".

It's obvious, I hope, what the first one is about and it does it very well. The second was published in 1937 and is a collection of essays about the 'new' Leica cameras by their owners and it has dozens of photographs. The last two are small but punch well above their weight and are needed as a reference book for everything Leica made.

Regards, David

Paul-Henry van Hasbroeck has done several excellent books, especially the one published by Sotheby's (LEICA, A history illustrating every model and accessory) and Leica in Colour (published by Philip Wilson).

Cheers,

R.

Depending on the era you're interested in, the Morgan and Morgan or Morgan and Lester Leica books can be excellent. The last one of the series, a much larger volume than the earlier ones with good coverage of everything up to the M4. For later cameras, see above.

Pick one...

For technological texts: The Puts series

For historical ones: Alessandro Pasi or van Hasbroeck

If you can read German: Osterloh
