Refuses to suffer fools
I'm finding the need for a spot meter - I used to have a Pentax analog one years ago, but it was stolen and never replaced.
I like the idea of the Pentax Digital, but oy! the prices! Any other suggestions for a decent spot meter that won't break the bank? I've heard good things about the Soligor Digital.

I have an old Soligor spot meter that works well and did not cost a fortune used. I don't know about the digital one though.

I just resurrected my Soligor digital after years of not using it. I popped in a new battery (9V -- easy to find and lasts a long time), and it seems to be accurate at least by Sunny 16 standards.
As Bob says, it wasn't nearly as expensive as Pentax and others. I'm thinking of sending it away some time to Richard Ritter for cleaning and calibration.
