When ordering from BH for film to be shipped to Canada, what shipping option do you choose so that it does not kill you on the other end with customs and duties?

Mark.

Canadians should be aware that UPS has some severe problems when shipping ground from the US, like big brokerage fees.

In fact I'd avoid having anything shipped UPS from the US, unless you really understand what you might be paying on arrival.

I chose the cheapest option with B&H customs clearance / brokerage, base cost is roughly $10 + taxes. I've done some rather large shipments and it was only $25. I highly recommend it.

Paul, I've had those brokerage issues with UPS several times, even when shipping their world-wide super-duper-no-brokerage-we-promise methods. I've basically stopped online shopping from the states unless they ship it USPS - However, with B&H, I've never had a brokerage charge. B&H's system is excellent.

I would not give UPS to handle garbage from garage to the curb.
Total morons.
Choose Purolator and B&H clearance. It is three days to deliver to GTA then.

B+H really have the shipping to Canada thing figured out. Usually 4 days for me and very reasonable shipping/clearance charges.

I cannot agree more with everyone who is dissing UPS. They are awful. Use only if you want to pay 50-100% more than you should.

I've been ordering film from B&H since they started offering Purolator ground shipping and pre customs clearance. I only wish Adorama and Freestyle would figure that out too.

I will second the choice of Purolator Ground, with B&H clearance.
Service has been excellent.

B&H has really made an effort to reach out to Canadian customers.

I've bought less and less from Freestyle over the years and more from B&H *BECAUSE* of the shipping. Spoken to Freestyle at length about it but I guess they don't really care about Canadian customers is all I can deduce. At least not as much as B&H does. Shame, they have some film and paper that you can't get anywhere else.

but echoing others, Purolator Ground, door to door. UPS can kiss my….
