Here are a couple of examples with the Biogon ZM T* 35/2 wide open.

Flame away – or rudely change the subject to vehicle transmissions, beer or some other totally irrelevant topic.

ps the film is NPZ800

nice color and contrast, the second pic shows the bokeh better than the other two because there is a defined subject and more depth to the background.

What is the close focus distance on this lens?

Sorry, don't know a whole lot about transmissions but I can talk Beer if you like :)

My vote: Danish! Tuborg. Gebraut nach dem deutschen Reinheitsgebot.

And good Biogon pictures. Pleasant color rendition...

Todd

Todd,

According to Zeiss the minimum focus is 0.7 meters.

Frank

I have become fond of the color rendition and contrast. I was a bit suprised how much more I prefer this lens to my Nikon AIS lens.

Thanks to both of you for your comments.

Seems to be a little barrel distortion in the shot of the deli-counter... :D
I quite like the first one. Good use of you film/lens there I think.
NPZ 800 looks worth a try: I've not been happy with my photos with other 800 speed films.

Leaving aside the superiority of wine to beer, I'll add my vote for the colour and contrast rendition of this lens. Even though the 3rd shot is not as good a sample for evaluating bokeh, I think the highlights in the background and the chocolates in the foreground are nicely rendered.

Speaking of chocolate ... nah, joe will get irritated with me.

Rob,

I expose NPZ800 at ISO 640. When under-exposed, this film gets ugly in a hurry.
