Hell that's a long subject line.
This year I have entered a few competitions (all which closed at the end of the year, and the results aren't out yet) because I felt comfortable that I am now producing the odd alright photograph here and there and it's good to push yourself. I didn't enter because I thought I had a serious chance, just for the fun, and to challenge yourself.
Well, this one is due to be announced in under a couple of weeks time and already I have sweaty palms. I see some folks have had a response a couple of weeks ago about the outcome (i.e. not making it, which is a real shame) but I've heard nothing yet! Maybe no news is good news? I have no idea, I'm still pretty much 99.9% certain I haven't got anywhere but I'm beginning to have that 0.1% part of me getting me excited about the "what if?"
So who else entered here or what competitions have you entered in general this year? Have you won any yet?
I've entered a photo fort the National Trust too, they have a compo and the Milton Keynes Parks Trust had one too. Like I say heard nothing as yet but just waiting now. It's rather exciting in a way, like being at school and waiting to see if you won a design competition or something!
I once won something on radio but I basically won a load of tat, that with my 2nd place for the language dept school logo at the age of 12 and a 5 metre swimming certificate are the total sum of my achievements so far
