I'm not familiar with the head, but the legs are great! Be warned, they're not light, but they're solid for anything up to a large MF kit, possibly a light 4x5 field camera. I had a 4x5 monorail and it didn't quite do the trick. I like the fancy tricks it does 
You can spread the legs all the way down to nearly horizontal while the center post flips sideways. It effectively gets your camera a few inches from the ground.
