Hi guys,
i would like to know if the bokeh of the summilux 35mm preasph is harsher than the summicron preasph v4. Some say they have the same optic formula, some say the contrary...

I took this shot yesterday, it was at f/2 , i think a harsher bokeh is really missing in this pic :/ , i know the preasph v4 is known for having a progressive bokeh but in this case it's clearly missing. I have a Summilux ASPH too, but i tend to prefer the summicron v4 because of the tones it delivers ( particularly in b&w 🙂 )

I must admit that when i bought the summicron v4 ( got it for a good price ), i was already thinking of acquiring the 35mm summilux pre-asph. I saw nice pics on the internet of its bokeh, its tones, and it was really good imho, it has the old leica look, plus it has a nice "glowing" effect @ 1.7 😉 The problem is , i don't want to have 3 35mm lenses.

Need your help guys, what do you think about the summilux preasph (bokeh, tones, "glow")? should i sell the summicron and buy a summilux preasph ?
I have to tell you that i'm not a sharpness maniac, actually i prefer a lens with a good character

Hi jackal
in fact that's my fault,i don't know why i said "harsh". I wanted to say that the 35mm preasph summilux seems to have a bokeh less progressive than the summicron, but a really good bokeh
And the shot you posted is amazing :bang: but i still don't know what to do 🙁
