Bessa World(?)

Has anyone an English version of this? Neat looking pictures in the example I saw. (I saw it on a well-known auction site.)

The C/V rangefinder system really deserves some more ink devoted to it, don't you think?

Or are there books out there I've missed?

I'm assuming its a Japanese book. In Japan they seem to make books about everything, so it's not surprising they would have one for Bessa.

These are called Moogs in Japan. It is a cross between a largish magazine with book aspirations. There are a multitude of them on cameras. Brand supported to some extent )Canon/Nikon/VC/Zeiss etc.
There is/was a magazine called Classic cameras that was excellent. They would try out vintage cameras and lenses, even truly rare ones and actually take pictures with them. Only magazine I have seen with a comparison between a 1925 f3.5 50mm Anastigmat and a late Red Scale Elmar 50f3.5 - or the SC mount 21f4 Voigtlander lens in Nikon mount and the original 21f4 Nikkor for RF.

Thanks for the info, everyone. The moog looks well illustrated - may be fun if you could get one for a reasonable price. And I will definitely look out for an old issue of Classic Cameras mag. And Tom - Bjorn Rorslett also compares the CV 21/4 to his original 21/4 Nikkor on his site. He seems quite taken with using new CV glass on his S3....

There is a nice book (in German) by Günther Kadlubek (the one of the Kamera-Katalog) called "Voigtländer Classic Collection". It was published in 2002 so it only covers up to the Bessa R2 and all lenses and accessories available at that time. He cannot stop using superlatives about almost everything though, so up to the potential readers to decide if they can live with that 😉

I got my copy via eBay.
