First of all I want to say hello to everyone here as it's my first post on this forum.

Most of you have certainly heard of Princelle's famous book, however I guess there are other ones worth being recommended.

What I could recommend is "Sdiełano w SSSR" (Made in USSR). It was published in 2015 by Museum of History of Photography in Kraków, Poland. The book is bilingual (Polish-English) and it shortly describes more than 120 types of soviet cameras.

Would you have any suggestions for other books?

Welcome Dawid, and thanks for an informative first post! Looking forward to seeing your contributions and posts in the forums and RFF Gallery.

Are you an FSU user? Feel welcome to share any details? There are quite a few FSU users here, both cameras and lenses.

kind regards,

I located this book here, but can't work out how to order it (the site is in Polish). It seems a very reasonably priced volume. Can you explain how to order it? I can't see how to add it to a shopping basket or to calculate postage.

Many thanks.

Hi,

Welcome aboard and many thanks for the post.

Do you have the ISBN reference for it? I'm sure a lot of us would like to get our hands on one or, perhaps, organise a bulk purchase.

Regards, David

Thank you for warm welcome. I am a user and fan of rangefinders (especially made in CCCP).

As for the book, it's dirt cheap here in Poland, 15 PLN (~4 USD) a piece, but availability may be an issue. It is available in the Museum's book shop, however they seem not to sell online anymore. You may e-mail them and ask. The website Lynn have found is another museum that sells it (here in English). You could ask if they ship outside Poland.

radi(c)al_cam, thanks for the ISBN. :)
