After several days of code hacking, I've managed to get my local camera club's online gallery up and running: http://www.bhcc-online.org/gallery.

Despite over 100 members, I'm only one of two who owns, let alone uses, a rangefinder!

Just a thought about camera clubs - I joined mine, the Brighton & Hove Camera Club, 2 years ago, and I’m very glad I did. I was reticent to check it out at first, because I thought it'd be half a dozen pipe-smoking, bitter-drinking old men into photographing endless landscapes and flower still lifes (lives!?), but when I went for a look, I was instead pleasantly surprised: it's a large club, and members are all ages, with diverse interests and talents, up to Fellows of the Royal Photographic Society - we even have Bill Brandt (OK - this one is a relative of the famous one!) - and it was very welcoming to a newcomer to photography like myself. And not only are members' photos too a high standard, they span everything from the traditional to the contemporary.

My photography's developed a lot since I joined the Club, and I've just been awarded a Licentiateship by the Royal Photographic Society - without the Club's encouragement, I really don't think my photography would have been good enough for me to become Rich Cutler LRPS (half of the applicants fail)!

So, if friends and family are uninterested in your photos or you'd like to improve them (the photos that is!), you could do worse than check out your local camera club - it may be six old guys poring over boring prints under a flickering fluorescent light in a poky room, but it might also be something much more...

Anyway, have a look at the Club's gallery and see what you think - as it's only been running for a couple of weeks, only 15 members have put up galleries so far, but there are some excellent photos. (Mine's in there - worth a laugh!)
