Hallo all,

back in the days when I started photography the first ever film camera I bought was a prewar Rolleicord. Later I discovered the years took a toll on the mechanics, but I still have the 75mm uncoated lens, which I adapted to m42 via a beautiful brass adapter from customphototools.

I used it as a fixed focus portrait lens in 35mm with extension tubes, looking VERY silly and unprofessional, but I just love the results.
Now, being a medium format lens I think it's a bit sad not to use its potential on a bigger negative, so I laid my eyes on the Fuji GS645.

Would it be possible to swap the lens cells of the fuji for the zeiss equivalent?
- focal lenght is nominally the same, 75mm in both, so back focus lenght should be ok.
- zeiss sits in a Compur #00, Fuji went for the asian equivalent, the Copal #00. Are the specs for the two identical? Referring to the thread diameter/pitch/overall shutter thickness.

Thank you very much!

PS been a long time since posting here, last log counter says january 2016. Oh well, hope you guys and this forum are ok.

PPS I never updated, but a couple years ago, or maybe more, I started a project thread on a Retina IIa 'restomod'. Well the camera is finished now, in all its black glory. Will update soon if the thread still exists.

I loved the craziness of a lens out of a First SIX Camera (Japanese folder). It was a cheaply made camera and I couldn't get the shutter repaired. I bought a Compur Pronto hoping the lens would fit: it did every thing was the same specs. Maybe you will have luck too.
