I have an M6, & Fuji X-Pro1. The Fuji 56 1.2 is a super lens to use on the Fuji with great reviews. If I bought the Zeiss Sonnar 50 1.5 I can use it on the M6 & the Fuji with the M adapter. The Zeiss would be 75mm on the Fuji, & the 56 is an 84mm., close. I do use a Zeiss 25 on the Fuji with stellar results. I know I would loose the auto focus, the Fuji is a much larger lens. The Zeiss is a nicer size, & could use them on both cameras. Both lens are about the same price. Anyone have both lens?

I used to own the Zeiss ZM 50mm f/1.5 Sonnar, it was certainly a great lens for me but since I got the Fuji XF 56mm f/1.2 to be used with my Fuji X-T1, I have sold the Zeiss lens since I rarely used it because the Fuji XF 56mm prime lens is really that great.

The only thing that I would have preferred is that the Fuji prime was smaller in size but at f/1.2, the lens has to be quite big indeed. I have no regrets, I would buy it again and sell the Zeiss lens to cover the cost. The good thing is that the resale value of the Zeiss lens will almost cover the cost of the Fuji 56mm lens.

My best tip to you is to go to your local shop and try the Fuji lens on your camera and decides if it's too big for you...

I have both lenses. The ZM C-Sonnar has been a mainstay for a long time on a couple M bodies. The 56/1.2 is a mainstay on my X-T1. It is very good, and AF's well (which is one big reason I'm trying out the x-series), so I don't really think about MF alternatives at all in that FL range.

But yeah, the ZM C-Sonnar would be a great choice in a single 50 set-up. It really is one of best-rendering portrait lenses I've used. The size is just a bonus.
