Buying a new R-D1

I have seen a new R-D1 at eBay, some time ago, for 1,500 dollars.

Depending on your location you'll have VAT on any import. Robert White will offer you to check out the R-D1s for potential flaws, if you ask them. I did so and it worked. This, together with their very courteous and helpful service, justifies the higher price by far. Buying such an item from ebay in far-east can go well, or go wrong. Kind of russian roulette. I believe, the chance to get a lemon is at 75% this way. With RW, it tends to 0%.

You may try to contact dr Joseph Yao ( joseph at yao dot com ). He's in Hong Kong. I bought mine from him.
