Have a C/V 25 Snapshot-Skopar that I have been happy with on my M6TTL. Have been happy with the results on that camera.

Now that I have done some tests with my M8 I wonder if I might be better served by the new C/V 25mmP? Done some tests with my current C/V 25mm and the results have not been as decent the 35mm Summicron (1979 vintage) - but better or the same that I have gotten with my Nikon DSLR.

This seems to support Sean Reid and his comments about range finder coupling with the C/V 25mm perhaps.

So the questions I have are:

- Have you moved from the Snapshot-Skopar to the new M mount design, and are you getting better results than with the older C/V 25mm lens?

- I am currently using FW 1.11 and have Lens Detection set to On+UV/IR. My current C/V 25mm has the 486 filter mounted. In the shots I have done so far I have not noticed any cyan drift in the corners in my test shots. I have not coded the lens in any way. I ask since I am getting ready to order the Milch LTM8 adapter and hood for my C/V 15mm. Not sure if I will see a benefit (other than focal length in the EXIF data).

- Under what situations would the cyan drift show off more? Do I need to do more testing? If so, under what conditions?

Thanks all. I asked questions about the Zeiss 25mm before, and you all came through with great answers. I have decided to stay with a single filter size, and lighter weight and smaller size.

Between my M6TTL and my M8 I have decided to have a 15/25/35/50/90 kit.

Again thanks all!
