Hi everyone. New to this forum and to rangefinders. I was just gifted a Konica C35. It seems quite clean, light seals look good, everything mechanical working, and even the battery compartment seemed corrosion free. However, with a new battery (1.4v hearing aid battery) the meter needle sits at the line above f/14. In very bright light it moves further into the red, but even in a dark room, doesn't move below that line. I'm confused. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! -owen

Hi Owen and welcome to the forum.
Weird problem with the C35 - have you checked that the camera is not set to "B"?
The ring behind the focus ring can only be turned when you press the chrome button beneath the inner ring and it might have been set to "B"
I don't have a C35 at hand right now, but as far as I recall, the meter flips completely when "B" setting is used
